The road to (re)unwinding
About 2 hours from Sacramento, 4 hours from the SF Bay Area and 90 minutes from Reno, Rubicon Rewind sits between Interstate 80 and Highway 50 - both routes take you on a scenic West Shore journey to the Rubicon Bay and Rubicon Rewind.
The West Shore is a special place, and to some, the best place. Our cabin sits 13 miles south of Tahoe City (about a 20 minute drive) and 15 miles north of South Lake Tahoe (about a 25 minute drive).

Coming from the North, through Tahoe City, you will see some of the most beautiful, old Tahoe style homes. Passing some of our favorite neighborhoods and beautiful lake views.... Tahoe Park and Sunnyside neighborhood (great market and hangouts), Tahoe Pines (Fleur de Lac - gorgeouse location featured in the Godfather 2), Homewood (the heart of the West Shore), Tahoma, Meeks Bay and Rubicon.

Heading from the South, drive through the historic Camp Richardson (camping, lodging, beaching), Fallen Leaf Lake, incredible Emerald Bay and DL Bliss State Park as you ease into Rubicon Bay. Check road conditions in the winter as Emearld Bay closes at times. A good resource is https://roads.dot.ca.gov.
